Find My Tide

What is the tide doing, right now?

Find My Tide opens to the tide stations nearest you and tells you the current height, whether the water is rising or falling, and when it turns next. Tap one for a 7-day forecast you can scrub with your finger.

There are no accounts, no ads, no subscription and no onboarding. Free on iPhone and Android.

Coverage

4,578 stations across the United States and Canada — including the subordinate US stations most apps leave out, which are disproportionately the local beach, inlet and point rather than the major port.

US predictions are computed on your device from NOAA's published harmonic constants, with nodal corrections, and are checked against NOAA's own tables on every build: turning points within ten minutes and heights within 0.15 m. Canadian predictions come from the Canadian Hydrographic Service.

Heights use the same chart datum as the official tables, so a number here matches a number there. Times are shown in the station's local timezone, never your phone's.

What it does not do

No account, no sign-in, no ads, no subscription, no tracking and no analytics. Your location never leaves your device — the distance sort and the nearest-station lookup both run on the phone. The full privacy policy is one page and says the same thing at greater length.

Not for navigation

Tide predictions are astronomical, not meteorological. Real water levels depart from them because of barometric pressure, wind, storm surge and river discharge — routinely by 0.1–0.3 m, and by a metre or more in a storm.

Find My Tide is not suitable for navigation. Do not use it to plan safe passage, clearance or anchorage. Use official tide tables and charts from your national hydrographic office.
